Meet William
William Ratley was born in Shreveport, Louisiana when his father was stationed in the Air Force. William graduated High School in Anchorage, Alaska in 1979, and soon moved to Marshall, Texas. He began his early work history helping his grandfather at his Gas Station/Garage in Marshall, Texas, then worked as a welder at a Railway Company, near Marshall, Texas then a Steel Company in Longview, Texas. In 1980, he moved to New Iberia, Louisiana and began work in the Gulf of Mexico working on oil rigs and production platforms. In 1983 William joined the Air Force and was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. There he worked on Avionics Electronics for the F-4, C-5 and some components for the SR-71 aircraft. After 4 years of active duty, He left the Air Force and joined the Army, working on Communications and Electronics, stationed at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, Mannheim, Germany, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Sinai, Egypt and as an Army Recruiter in Prescott, Arizona. His last years in the Army, he was managing approximately half of the Computer Network on Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He retired from the Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as a Sergeant First Class (E-7) in 2004 while living near Fort Cobb, Oklahoma and moved near Apache, Oklahoma in 2005. He continued to serve as a civilian contractor maintaining computers until 2011.
I have been married to my lovely wife, Donna for over 20 years and we share a blended family of 5 children, 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
I have never aspired to be a politician, but I feel the voice of the people is not being heard and I hope to make a difference. I do not have all the answers, but plan on listening to the concerns of the citizens of District 65.
I am a Christian, Pro-Life, Pro 2nd Amendment, Limited government Candidate, with a strong desire to rid our Oklahoma Elections of the Electronic/Computer Election Machines and provide transparency to the process. Our vote is sacred and we need to hand mark our ballots and hand count them.
